We dropped in for a quick dinner. They had a private function and restaurant was also fully booked. Staff kindly offered for us to sit at the bar but advised there would be a long wait for meals. Wait wasn't as bad as expected. I had a perfectly cooked (med rare) rump steak and veg. Steak was tender and tasty. Veg were fresh (not from a freezer bag), still had some crunch and not over cooked. Partner had crumbed steak, chips and salad. She was very happy with it. Bar service was prompt, beers were cold. Staff and locals were friendly. Easily one of the best pub meals I have had.

Nice hotel to spend a night in Charters Towers while travelling. The hotel itself is more like a casino with keno, slotmachines and a bar. The hotel rooms are motel-like and located off property at close range. Proper bed, spacious room and great shower. Parking right outside in front of the room. Perfect for a 1 night stay.

Hubby and I were after a good pub meal after a big day driving and we were not disappointed. I had a perfectly cooked steak and hubby the crumbed steak which was a decent size. Both were tender and the side of chips and salad and mushroom gravy completed the meal well. Highly recommend. Staff friendly too.

We ordered the 'Rump' steak, 250g with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. AMAZING! The steak was perfectly cooked(medium/rare), the veggies were perfect and the mushroom sauce was so so good. We're from Texas and the food helped us feel at home.

What a lovely place. Great service and staff were very helpful. Food was lovely I had cutlets which hit the spot they do seniors meals as well.

I ordered the crumbed lamb cutlets. Definitely not lamb they were the toughest lamb cutlets I have ever had. I couldn't even chew one of them. Must have been old mutton!. I would have complained but I was so tried from a big day on the road all I wanted was to go back to the room and sleep. I was looking for to having some nice lamb cutlets all day to completely disappointed.

We stayed in the family room for a few nights and wow!! Being a large family it is rare to find an affordable location that can accommodate us in one room. The room was very spacious and clean. Had dinner and lunch at the restaurant which was thoroughly enjoyable! Staff were very friendly and efficient. Great experience all round!

A friend and I stopped in for lunch and wow what a treat the service and the steak were! Our bar man Cable was outstanding. He went out of his way for my friend who wanted a cup of tea to fit in with Keto. Not to mention the steak! I will dream about my 250 gram for some time to come! Do your self a favor if you want a great meal…this is your place.
