Could well be the worst hotel in Brisbane
Everything about it is disgusting..
Carpark full of weeds and rubbish everywhere
You walk into the bars and bistro and there are glasses and plates all over the place .. hardly a table cleaned all day !?
You then wait at the bar for ages while the staff chat among themselves before coming over with a ‘you right!?’
Then you check in and go to your room and you wouldn’t let your dog stay there - so aged, run down and smelly .
And then to complete the experience, some poorly spoken halfwit female with a superiority complex rings you to abuse you for leaving your key in the room when you check out
She is obviously perfectly suited to such a grub pub

Do yourselves a favour and drive straight past

I have been visiting the Acacia Ridge Hotel for almost 9 years and am sad to say that I have no reason to return again.

I used to visit regularly bringing friends and family for a few drinks, a great value meal and an active ambience. You could see local events being held in the venue rooms which was always nice, some weekly trivia, poker etc and the staff were lovely however the whole vibe has now changed.

It used to be a location that appealed to all ranges of customer. Young families to the elderly, local workers and the travellers who utilised the rooms. However it now feels that they are catering to very specific demographic target audience. I understand a business needs to evolve however the majority of changes that have been made feel like this is now just a venue for the blue collar and primarily male clientele.

That change started with removing all consideration of a kids area which does tend to turn away familes (a couple of claw machines don't really count). The bikini girls are obviously suited for a certain audience. And for a venue attached to a drive thru bottlo I was surprised to not have a full range of drinks available.

I can't speak to the new menu having visited the night before this was released but can say the food has always been pretty good, through all the years and menu changes thus far. If a meal is all you're after then no worries. But with other options located nearby that cater to much more than just the after work crew or those wanting to belt out some karaoke it might be worth a look around.

Horrifyingly skanky.

I never post negative reviews as I find reviews are highly subjective. I am an experienced, adventurous traveller, and I've stayed in all kinds of budget and pet-friendly accommodation, and it's always been clean and tidy shabby chic. I have very low expectations of accommodation and am very easy to please.

And then I checked in here. I have slept on cleaner toilet floors.

The stench emanating from the room coated my nostrils. Stale cigarettes with a bouquet of feral carpet that not even the 2.5 cm gap at the bottom of the door could ventilate. When I asked at reception for room deodoriser, I was told there wasn't any available, another room was unavailable, and my only option was a refund, leaving me without accommodation (everywhere fully booked) and sleeping in the car. In February. I was not offered a discount.

If the weather had been milder, the car was definitely the preferred option.

I was forced to pay to deodorise the carpet myself, I thankfully had a pair of thongs, which I never removed, and I placed the rusty tin of cigarette butts elsewhere.

When I went to sit down, I noticed the spilled food stains on the wall.

When I decided to make myself a hot drink, I shook the small tetra pack of milk, only to discover it had been opened and I covered myself with the contents.

The most annoying thing about my experience was that the squalor was completely unnecessary. All the room needed was a decent clean and the carpet steam cleaned.

Your experience here will depend on which room you are given, and I'm sensing I may have been allocated the room with the complaints.

The only thing that touched the floor in my room was the soles of my shoes, and I placed both pairs in the washing machine when I returned home.

Theres always something on at the bar whether its karaoke, poker or or other things this place is a great spot to wet your whistle any day of the week or to rest yiur head!

First off Minus one stars for location as its quite a walk to the nearest train station and the main road it's on is always congested through that section to get anywhere. And minus one stars for the age of the rooms although they're quite clean, the staff here are amazing in the office and at the bar always a pleasure here.

I do reccomend booking ahead as they're always quite booked out.

The restaurant is great if you like a bargain always keep your eye out on the specials board. I bought a lasagne one night that took me nearly 3 days to eat and it was only 15 bucks.

Despite there being karaoke nights among other events the rooms are nice and cosy and quiet shut away from the noise of the bar and main road.

I stayed in a couple of rooms and some have new bathrooms some don't. The water pressure in either is AMAZING.

AIR CODITIONING IS GOOD!!

There's Also a laundry downstairs that is quite handy albeit costs money to use but it's far cheaper than a laundromat and IMHO a life saver if you stay long here.

Shout out to all the staff there for making my stay so amazing. Adding a two stars back on overall just for all of you.

Ive been at this motel for a bit so i wanted to leave a review just for next time~~

The 2 room accommodation is a plus because we have 5 people staying and because we are staying the ground floor, no issues with odd levelling floors

On room 10, near the door had that nasty smell that im not sure what that was, but it was tolerable

Room 10 also had issues with the door not closing properly. Like you would have to really push the door to close, but it makes a loud bang so i dont recommend during late or early hours

The water taps squeek pretty loud so you would do a bit of pressure to not make it do noises, but at least it works for its purpose, havent tried the shower because we’ve only stayed for short.

Positives include it is clean and spacious, the plug ins near the beds are good and the overall air is not too bad

Can’t comment on the service, but the cleaning ladies are nice but you do wake up to room cleaning early in the morning.

Overall not to bad, but not good either. Its a balance stay for what you get (if you stay on the floor level)

i only give 1 star as it wouldn’t allow me to post my review with zero.
the floor (carpet) was disgusting, looked and felt like it’d never been cleaned (all of our feet were black within the hour of being there aswell as my 1yo knee’s as she is only crawling). there’s god knows what marks on the walls, the bedding didn’t feel clean. there were cockroaches (big and small), there’s no windows so it felt closed in. the shower head was spraying out up and over the shower screen onto the roof, toilet and floor. the room i booked was the family double twin room to sleep 6 as we had 6 people (was advertised as 2 bedrooms, one with 2 double beds and one with 2 single beds), we walked into a single room with only 3 beds so had to bed share. i will never stay here again and i will be warning everyone i know to stay away. we left feeling really disappointed as the bar/bistro looked so nice so we were expecting decent rooms (as the photos did look decent). we did not eat here though so cannot comment on the bar/bistro service or food/drink.

Food was ass!!! Went for lunch here once an it was okay. But this time it was garbage!!!! My family went there for a bit of a dinner and we booked a table. We get there and staff has no record of table being booked, $30 for steak that was waaaaaaay over cooked, like 7 chips on the plate and a rocket leaf salad with 1 piece of tiny tomato... Also we ordered all meals at the same time and half the tables food came out 15mins after the first lot of meals.. chicken burger was obviously a frozen schnitzel from woolworths and was not worth the price they charged 👎🏻👎🏻

Staff were friendly and apologised for the weight but, put a real sour mood for the whole family dinner feeling. I know it's just a bistro at a Tavern but if I could give less than 1 star I would... Terrible..

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, the carpet was filthy, had to wear thongs on the floor the whole time, it stunk so bad, the walls and room was covered in absolute filth, wouldn’t let a dog sleep in it. Don’t ever stay here.
