Well after being informed by many visitors to this pub, myself and my wife decided we would go and have a few drinks and dinner.
Unfortunately due to the barmaid being too busy serving one customer twice and then going through all the tickets that another customer put on the bar. We were completely ignored, when we left I thanked her for her pathetic customer service.
We are currently travelling around Australia and I must admit I have never walked out of a pub before for complete lack of service.

This place has really gone downhill. Meals were delivered quickly but cold, maybe only a dozen people eating so no excuse. Plenty of staff (backpackers) but it seems no oversight. Shame as it used to be a great country pub.

I rate this pub highly. Have travelled the country, but no pubs stand up to this one. A 400g steak under $30. Unheard off.

Spent 10 days with the team here. There isn't a lot of choice in the area for good food and accommodation. The staff are great, friendly, good, meals, coffee etc. We had a great time. This is a great regional Aussie Pub experience. Do recommend.

I have grown up hearing glorious stories about Baralaba and the Mighty Dawson River from my father who grew up at Baralaba. I have family still in the area.

Today, as part of a mini break on motorcycles, my wife and I dropped in to the Baralaba Hotel, late for a drink before heading on.

We only saw the front bar, so can only comment on that. But I will be back based on the fantastic service we received.

The place was lovely. Very country with lovely wide verandahs, and clean with floors and bars shining!!!

But it was the staff who were the Gold Medal winning attribute.

The young Bournemouth, UK lady behind the bar was nothing short of an angel and enquired and tended to our needs…it was a very warm day to be riding and seeking shelter.

But other staff we equally friendly and the banter in the bar between the staff was positive and fun inducing.

A real credit to the Hotel.

And I hope to be coming back soon. In any case, the Baralaba Hotel will be a destination on our bike trips.

What a cute pub in Baralaba!! We drove into this town to have a look and a bloke from Foodworks suggested eating at the pub as he said the food is really good! Glad we took his advice as the meals were exceptional!! Really decent portions with great flavours! The staff were really friendly! I was impressed on how busy it was for a Monday night!! Will definitely go back if we pass through again!
