Apartments were serviced well and accompanied by stunning views of the Gold Coast, particularly at night.

The complex is well situated with restaurants, Pacific Fair, and the casino only a short walk away.

Of concern are the lifts, or lack thereof; the tower is such that 7-8 lifts are necessary, not four. On several occassions we were left waiting for up to 10 minutes in the lift lobby and had to contend with the lifts stopping at nearly every floor on its descent from level 38—a great way to kick off the morning.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the near future.

We had a high floor xx-105 that is not exactly the rounded corner balcony but was still a great stay. The furniture and fittings are modern and non-frills. We love the branded soaps, the strong aircon, the convenient cardkeys, and the direct link to the casino. Everything is so convenient, i dont know what else to ask for. Oh, the ocean view is blocked, but we stayed at surfers paradise before this, so we are not exactly looking for that same view again. Goldcoast city view is also stunning.

Worst service I've had at any hotel in Australia of comparable price.

Checking in was a nightmare. The receptionist was rude and didn't ask the height of my vehicle before sending us around the block to parking that we couldn't fit in. They do have parking for over 1.95m but it's a hike back from this location.

After eating the worst burnt $30 cheeseburger at the pool area, we came back to see how room hadn't been made up.

On booking.com there are different price options for with and without house keeping.

We decided to pay $120 extra for the 3 night stay to have house keeping included.

Despite this, reception and the support staff on the phone were adamant that house keeping was not included.

We further sent them proof of our booking and a screenshot of included services, but they said we just have to take it up with booking dot com as it is a problem on their end and has nothing to do with them.

Oh.... and you have to wait half an hour every time you want to catch a lift.

There is far better places to stay for $400 per night, that include house keeping. Stay well clear.

Recent stay in 2 bed 2 bath ocean view apartment.Great position close to Pacific Fair. Stunning view. Adequate but not high end apartment. Terrible shower pressure. The tower lifts are slow, crowded and totally inadequate. The Harvest buffet is a zoo after 9am and will not cope when tower 2 opens. No surprise Star is almost insolvent.

Cons: Atrocious planning with 4 lifts for 57 floors. What were they thinking!!? It can take 20 mins to wait for a lift. Yes that’s right. Very rude staff. Pretty run down in star. Pros: Great views up high, great facilities, great location to pacific fair and Broadbeach shops and beach. Unfortunately the cons outweigh the pros so won’t be back.

Very well appointed apartments, which were modern and clean. We stayed in 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom with media room which was a great size for a family of four. Great pool area, although it does get busy, so you need to be early to get a seat. Short walk to Broadbeach restaurants and Pacific Fair. Will definitely stay again.

Arrived at hotel on a Saturday , hopped in the lift to go to the room soon after , arrived in the room on the Monday. Human evolution was quicker then the lifts at this hotel. If your planning on going to the beach , a show , the casino etc, allow yourself 4 working days to get down stairs. Attending a wedding on the Gold Coast and staying at The Star Residences ....

Sorry you'll miss it .

Take your chances and jump off the balcony before attempting the circus that is the lifts at this hotel.

Amazing room and views. Check in was easy and great service. Hard to find entrance/way to reception. The lifts can be very slow at peak traffic times..
