Good location, but rooms need updating. The frosted glass in the bathroom needs to be darker as you can still see the silhouette from the other side of the room, there was rust in the bathtub, and no ventilation. Our room had minimal basic utensils. Having said that, the hotel is in a great location, close to everything and it is within walking distance to the beach and other shops. Good for when you’re out exploring most of the days and needing to come back to the rooms to rest. We had the ocean view room which had great views of the beach and Surfers Paradise.

We recently stayed at Mantra on View Hotel in Surfers Paradise, and unfortunately, our experience was far from what we had expected, especially for the price of $932 for two nights with two rooms.

Firstly, the cleanliness of the rooms was okay . The rooms were not up to standard, with areas that seemed to have been overlooked during cleaning. Considering the high price point, we expected better attention to detail. The view from the room was very beautiful with the city view plus the ocean view. The bed was super comfortable.

Another major disappointment was the spa facilities. We had been looking forward to relaxing in the jacuzzi, but it was completely broken and unusable. This was particularly frustrating as we had specifically chosen this hotel partly for the amenities, and the jacuzzi was one of the features we were looking forward to.

Overall, the hotel did not live up to its reputation, and for the amount we paid, we expected much better quality and service. We will not be returning or recommending it to others based on this experience.

Worst room. Smelled bad as soon as we entered the room. Bad and mattress are basic quality. Damaged curtains. One corner seat looks second hand one and cushion worn out. Carpet has stains and patches. Broken furniture. Bathroom big enough but the soap dispensers are too high for the kids to reach. Not worth for the money we paid.

The list continues, COCKROACH in the room. We called the reception and they came with a spray (good). Their behaviour was like 'its just normal for us'. Great (sarcastic).

First time staying at a Mantra hotel. At first wasn't happy with the room, when I mentioned to reception they changed and gave a better and cleaner room. I specifically booked this place for the hot tub which turned out to be a plunge pool. They need to change their advertising on the website, it's misleading. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay with a wonderful buffet breakfast. Staff are very friendly.

Hotel was in a great walkable location, close to activities, food & beach. Daily room service was appreciated. Great city/beach view on level 14. The buffet downstairs in the morning has great variety, and decently priced even tho it wasn’t included in our hotel stay package.

Really enjoyed the location, view, proximity to Cavil, the mini mart is so convenient which is basically connected to the same building. The room was clean and spacious.
I'm looking forward to staying again.

Honestly good location, good hotel, great view as we were on the 13th floor but I find it ridiculous that there is no pool and as far as I know the pool is for 18s and over not good for families, the plunge pools jets did not work and they clearly were not cleaned as there was mold on the bottom of them. I came for a birthday holiday and I cannot even enjoy experiences most decent hotels have as I’m underaged for most of the experiences, once again do not recommend too families. Have a great night I hope you can fix these issues.

Location is great but the hotel needs improving. The only restaurant/cafe is only open for breakfast. No bar or other food services. Bathroom is mouldy. Carpet is stained and dirty. Paint is flaking off. Fridge is rusting. Front entrance roof to the hotel is damaged (a truck must of driven into it).

Location is fantastic but the hotel itself needs lots of improving. Close to the beach, close to Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise boulevard and shops. Everything was walking distance. There’s even a tram located very closely!
