DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Worst customer service, the tool on the phone just said “give it to someone else “ . Will be taking them to fair trading and the media!!!! Heartless people. I guess making the money is more important than a family’s circumstances. Few days before travel partner had a big accident, not able to travel. Refused to give refund. No option to give 0 stars. - we booked through lastminute.com- they had reached out to you which you refused. I called and spoke to someone today.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and we had a great experience! This hotel has the best location, right next to Cavill Mall. We stayed on level 7 and had a wonderful ocean view, the room itself was very nice. However I will say, Considering how big the hotel is there is not enough Spas! There is only 1 tiny Spa and it is always packed because the inside and outside pools are freezing, There not heated at all. So it was very uncomfortable trying to sit there and relax when there were kids splashing and screaming in the spa. I gave up on going to the spa again after that. Overall My partner and I really did like this hotel, we would definitely come back again.

Excellent location, close to all the entertainment areas of Surfers Paradise. However, the service is terrible. The don’t answer the phone and give information that is incorrect. I was locked out of my apartment on my last day as my key didn’t work which was a major security issue. I had to knock on a neighbours door to get help (thank you to my awesome neighbour for helping me!). I then rang the number three times to report the key not working and there was no answer. I left voicemails but no response. Disgusted at this lack of security issue - fix your keys!!! Lifts were really slow and finding the venue was difficult, even for the Uber driver, as there was no signage on the street. We had to drive around the block to find the venue so I was charged more for my ride, which I wasn’t happy with. Not a place I would recommend due to security issues. I was also given two bin liners for the bin which wasn’t enough for our stay. There also wasn’t enough toilet paper and no towels were given for the pool. I was disappointed there were no extra pillows and blankets as despite adjusting the temperature in the apartment it was quite cool and I had to frequently wear warm clothing whilst I was there. Plus the wifi was terrible for a venue that was so close to an entertainment hub!

During my recent stay at the residences, I encountered a series of disappointments that significantly tarnished my experience. To begin with, waiting for an elevator became a daily frustration, with typical wait times stretching to at least 15 minutes, only for them to arrive already packed to the brim.

Equally disheartening was the lack of attention to amenities. Not a single towel was provided for poolside convenience, which is a basic expectation for service at such establishments. For an eight-night stay, being allotted a mere two rolls of toilet paper was baffling—such a scant provision is both inconvenient and impractical. Further adding to the inconvenience was the single dishwasher tablet given, an oversight that certainly did not go unnoticed.

The state of cleanliness in the rooms was, quite frankly, below par. The lack of thoroughness left much to be desired, indicating an overlooked aspect of what otherwise should be a top priority. Compounding this issue, I was faced with a bathroom tap that seemed more like a water spectacle than a functional fixture, carelessly spraying water in all directions.

But the disappointments did not end there; the floor lobby was plagued by an overwhelming odor akin to dead fish, which was off-putting and unwelcoming each time I entered the residences. It's concerns such as these that cast a shadow over my entire stay, and I feel compelled to share my experience so that other potential guests might be forewarned about the current state of affairs at this establishment.

I am genuinely concerned at how all negative reviews shared by other guests has been met with the same stock standard auto reply saying there is no record of them haha! What a joke.

For the price paid, this property well and truely disappointed!

We had an incredibly disappointing experience at this hotel, actually a nightmare!

The cleanliness was that of a motel from everyone’s worse nightmare!

The elevators moved at a snail's pace, 3 elevators to service 55 floors, make sure you go out of your room, press the elevator button, come back to your room, have a coffee and shower and read your favourite book, then head to the elevator and wait a further 5 minutes only to get 2-3 elevators come that are full like a can of sardines, wait n wait…

The WiFi was frustratingly slow, the parking situation was a nightmare, and the bathrooms were downright disgusting, I’m sure we all now have a fungus of some sort, thanks!

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, even my worse enemy.

They charge you 5 star hotel fees for a 0.5 star motel, I’m being generous with the 0.5

Now watch their copy paste response they use to every negative review blaming some agency and they didn’t have me booked on their system lol nice try!

This place should be closed down, the only reason people stay here is the location, you have NOTHING else to offer Orchid Residences, nothing!

I have never had such disgusting customer service and from a front line manager too, specifically TIM. Never in my life have I experienced such disgusting and inhuman service. I called to cancel a booking and his exact words were “ why are you calling to cancel, I’ve got work to do “. I then asked if he could transfer me to someone who was more helpful and his response was “ No I won’t be doing that, your on my mobile and they’re busy, so no “. He point blank wanted me not cancel a booking so they can incur my cancellation fee and he said this as well. The customer service is so so poor and this was the most expensive hotel to stay at for the time. I can’t believe that this is how a staff member or even someone in charge would speak to someone with such a disgusting and unwelcoming tone. I will never recommend this hotel nor anyone visiting to even bother if they want to be treated like this

We are 4 days in to a 10 day stay and so far it has been amazing. We did have an issue where the toilet leaked and there was no oven tray but we spoke to the management and this was rectified same day. The location is amazing, the hotel is amazing, pool awesome and so far good value for money. Will definitely be coming back. Very happy with this place.
