We enjoyed our stay at Mantra Sierra despite a few hiccups with bedding arrangements (requested King & Queen and arrived to a King & 2 x singles). Thankfully the caretaking staff were able to join the single beds for my mother & baby.

We loved the ample space in all the rooms - especially the primary suite - the bathtub was amazing for evening bubble baths. Our little one also had space for her mat to enjoy tummy time.

Overall we enjoyed our stay which was value for money , great location & ample space for us all.

Thank you Mantra staff.

We had a perfect 3 day stay. Beautiful apt, furnished beautifully, lovely decor, spotlessly clean, great views over the hinterland. Great reception. Joshua and Tamara were so helpful, couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The location is perfect. Pacific Fair, shops, restaurants, cafes for good coffee, light rail, beach - all 5 minute walk away. Mantra facilities are wonderful - pool, steam room, sauna, lounge, internet area and all spotless and smelling fabulous. Check in and departure were easy and as before Joshua and TAmara were excellent. Makes us want to return.

A very convenient location close to Pacific fair shopping centre and walkable to the beach. Check in was easy and staff really kind and helpful. We were a family with three small kids and two elderly parents, so enjoyed using the indoor pool and sauna in the building. Fully equipped kitchen, which was very handy in making family meals. The only issue was the room felt a bit dated and not very clean. The sofa cushions and carpet were dusty, we even spotted some bugs in the carpet.

We had a one bedroom suite with a view of pacific fair. Was fairly quiet and just a tram ride to surfers. Would definitely stay here again

Josh and Tamara at the reception are amazing! Large indoor and outdoor pools, indoor outdoor spa, steam room, sauna, gym. Little dated (gym needs some equipment replaced), I hear they're going to renovate the indoor pool area and possible more, will be better then. This residential resort / hotel has the best possible location and it won't brake your budget.

My friends and I booked a two bedroom unit on the 8th floor at this glorified motel for the week.
I will start with some positives: the couch was comfortable, the view was decent (not ocean, but overlooked the river). The showers were hot and had good water pressure, and the laundry had a washing machine, dryer, iron, and sink. The fridge was very cold and full sized. There is a full kitchen including oven, microwave, pots and pans etc, although in my opinion, more cutlery and crockery are needed.

As for the negatives, please note that we paid $1900 for 8 nights, granted this was over the New Year period.

When we got there at 2pm, our room was not yet ready and the hotel grossly understaffed. No apologies for that and a great start to the holiday.

When we eventually walked onto our floor after a couple of hours, the intense stench of mould made us feel sick. I’m not sure if maybe the carpets have never been changed, or if they’ve painted over mould on the ceiling, but the stench is unmistakable and definitely mould.

The room is quite basic. The air conditioning did not function in one of our rooms, neither did the shower fan in one of the bathrooms. For the week we were there, our unit had 2 toilet rolls in each bathroom, 2 packets of liquid dish soap, 2 packets of dishwashing powder, and 2 packs of laundry powder. No replacement bin liners. There is a box of tea, however no sugar, coffee, salt, or pepper is provided. Most surfaces were not dusted.

You might be thinking to yourself, “well, housekeeping would surely replace those small amenities once in a while, so what’s the big deal?” To this comment, dear reader, I laugh because, what housekeeping?

The entire 9 days we were there, we saw a housekeeping cart once, and had our towels replaced one time at the end of our stay. Our beds remained unmade, bins and sheets unchanged. Whenever we needed more supplies like towels or washing powder, I had to go down to reception myself and ask for them, and lug them back to our room. “Why not use the phone?” The phone was not connected and did not work at all! Reception hours are 9-5 with either one poor lovely staff member run off their feet, or someone who very clearly wanted to be anywhere else on earth. I could definitely relate to that.

I loved washing my towels on my holiday - NOT.

The pillows on the beds were very comfortable, but the beds themselves were awful. I had the worst week of sleep here. And the room that was advertised as being a master bedroom with a queen sized bed, was actually two single beds pushed together with the crack down the middle.
Not only that, but we did not have a doona on any bed. Please read this again carefully. For the 9 days we were in these beds, we slept with a mattress sheet, a top sheet, and a ratty stained blanket from the top of a cupboard, the kind of blanket you’d sleep with at your grandmothers house. I had to wash these blankets as they stank.
There were 2 of these blankets in a unit with 3 beds; you do the maths.

If you are desperate enough to stay here or you simply don’t want to heed my warning, please bring the following with you from home: toilet paper, laundry powder, dishwashing liquid, bin liners, doonas, coffee, and towels. Unless you are the type to use the same towel for 9 days, and in that case, good for you.

My final complaint is the decor. It seemed to us that this unit was a work in progress and just poorly thought out in general. The tv in the master bedroom is unable to be plugged in because the power point is too far away, there is a cement floor without carpet in one of the wardrobes, and there was random Temu stuff everywhere like empty tissue holders attached to the bathroom wall and a bright orange retro hook on a door for some reason.

I hope this review is helpful and allows you to find a place that doesn’t stink to high heaven of mould and has decent housekeeping.
Have a great day 🙂

We arrived at 4:30pm and were told our room was not ready - the hotel was short staffed. I was promised a hamper for the inconvenience, and 10% off our next stay. The family behind us had been waiting for 2 1/2 hours for their room! The room was ready at 5:45pm - we had dinner reservations at 6:30pm which we were late for. The apartment was spacious, unfortunately quite noisy with the traffic outside. Upon checking, the dishwasher was not cleaned before we checked in and the shower head was broken in the 2nd bathroom. The hamper I was promised was not given - instead we were given vouchers to go to Q1 for 2 adults and 2 children. These we could not use as 1 of our children was too old for the vouchers. I would have preferred the promised hamper. This stay was for our wedding anniversary - it was not the stay I had hoped for.

from the moment we opened the door to our room we were shocked at the condition and the uncleanliness of the room, sliding doors and also the balcony.
the lounge had visible bodily stains (fresh) on it that had to be steam cleaned immediately when we complained, the balcony glass was so dirty you could not see through it along with large cobwebs on every panel.
