The staff were fantastic and are to be commended, however management not at all. Broken promises, no follow up and still waiting for a call to resolve some issues. The facilities are looking tired and need maintenance, the rooms were also rather small. The breakfast is nice but the lunch/dinner menu need more options. Overall it could of been a better stay if management followed up on what they promised.

Our recent stay at this hotel started with a bit of disappointment regarding the room, but it quickly turned into a wonderful experience thanks to the amazing front desk staff. Jessica from front desk in particular truly stood out—she listened to our concerns, upgraded our room, and made us feel genuinely valued. She was incredibly polite, friendly, and kind, and her efforts made a huge difference to our stay.

It was a birthday celebration, and she went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The hotel itself was clean, and the entire staff was friendly and accommodating.

We travel to Broadbeach yearly, and after this experience, we’ll definitely consider staying here again. A big thank you to the team for making our trip special!

This is the view we had from our “superior room with ocean view”. There’s nothing superior about the room and that view shouldn’t be called an ocean view. The room is dated and is 3.5 stars at best, didn’t have the quality you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Definitely not worth the $400+ per night we paid. I have never left a negative google review before but had to write this one to warn other travellers. There’s definitely better options in the area

I came here for a conference and had a wonderful time. The hotel is at the heart of Broadbeach with shops and restaurants nearby. The free shuttle to and from Pacific Fair shopping centre has a stop close to the hotel. ||I was fortunate to have a large room with balcony. Absolutely beautiful with views of the beach. The hotel room is clean and modern and a fantastic modern bathroom.||The daily breakfast buffet at the hotel has a good range of food. For snacks and nibbles there is a Woolworths at the Oasis shopping centre attached to the hotel. ||The beach is an easy walk from the hotel and the casino is also an easy walk in the opposite direction.||Definitely recommend!

The room was spacious and clean, we were very satisfied with it.
We did find that service after 8:30 isn’t that great tho. I tried calling multiple times to get a few things but no one answered. I then went down to do it person. But after 45 min we still didn’t get what we asked for. I tried calling again and gave up on that. I went down and let the lady know again that we still didn’t have what we asked for. Personally I don’t believe it’s her fault, she was doing the best she could(being the only one behind the counter) it was the other staff. I ended up having to go down 3 times in the space of nearly 2hrs before someone gave us what we asked for.
Other than that experience, the stay was nice. The pool was a refreshing distraction for a hot day and the room was verrrry comfy.

From arriving the service and experience was very average and a bit disappointing comparing it to my other luxury escapes experiences. The hotel really needs a refresh and could work on keeping it neat, clean and tidy. The bistro chairs looks scruffy and seats material peeling off, pool lounge area also not very inviting, and not enough seats and shades for the big number of guests. And the access for parents with strollers are difficult with no ramp and only 2 stairs available.The luxury escapes free daily drinks was very limited to only 2 very basic cocktails. Rooms need a thorough cleaning with entry and bathroom tiles sticky and balcony chairs also rusting and could do with some cushions. There were 2 highlights out of all the numerous low lights - 2 occasions where 2 individuals was very friendly and helpful at the breakfasts.

We stayed 5 nights in an east facing luxury room. The check-in process was quick, with a welcome drink of sparkling provided at reception.
The room was in need of refurbishment (the dial-up modem plug and sign on the desk was a bit of a giveaway). The bathroom was spacious enough and in good condition and clean.
The bed: it was like sleeping on a rock bench and needs replacing. The bed base was clearly old, with material ripped and draping to the floor underneath. The pillows were very good.
The room servicing was unobtrusive and we didn't feel rushed.
We ate at the hotel restaurant twice. While a nice enough meal, it certainly wasn't outstanding and really only provided value with the AccorPlus discount. The seats in the restaurant were very old, with the seat coverings in very substandard repair.
Overall, we had a nice stay but there were definitely some things that need urgent attention.

My wife and I booked a week in an ocean view room at Sofitel Broadbeach. The service was faultless, the pool was really nice, and the breakfast was very tasty. I think the rooms could do with a spruce up but, having said that, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. Location was very convenient right above the shopping centre.
