Closing time on website is 5pm.
Closing time on chain wire closed door is 4pm. It has been like this for a long time. Disappointed when the website lead me to believe I could buy coffee as a treat for self & patient.

I decided to come to the cafe at about 2:30/3:00pm while waiting for my son to come out of surgery. When I got there all the chairs were packed up, but that was ok because I was going back to the children’s ward anyway. I ordered a bacon and egg muffin and coffee take away. The young girl working behind the counter put the muffin in the microwave and the man ( I assume it was her boss?) waited until about 4-5 mins after I ordered to start making the coffee, there was no customer service and the mood of the place was tense. After he put the coffee on the counter, there was no thank you or bye, he just turned his back and walked away. I got back to the room about ten mins later and took a bite of of the muffin, it was so extremely hot the sauce burnt my lip so bad. This was a good 15 mins since it came out of the microwave so I assumed it would be ok. That was the 1st of September… a month and a half ago and the skin on my lip won’t grow back properly. It had actually blistered and peeled away. I’m so disappointed, I paid $15-$16 and it was definitely not worth that much. I now have what I can only assume is a scar on my lip now that is very noticeable because there was no care given. After spending thousands of dollars for surgery, I expected the cafe at a private hospital to take more care instead of being negligent.

I ordered a roast beef sandwich that I was taking to a cancer patient and the bread was so stale it made a noise when I accidentally dropped it on the table like a rock. Paying $9 for a sandwich that had been in the fridge for a week is a OHS issue as the hospital in full of sick patients and this cafe is serving week old stale food!

This coffee shop is located in the Pindara Hospital hub. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Coffee is great and a lovely place to meet sick loved ones or grab a drink before an appointment.

Obviously more staff required for Saturday lunch very busy..

Ordered 2 flat white coffees get something more like cappuccino.
Asked for the medium to be extra hot, just hot.
Small was just luke warm.

I feel that when you pay for something you should get what you ask for
