Such a great cafe. Huge menu selection of salty and sweet food options. The iced coffee and mango frappe were delicious!
For the Dutch folk their poffertjis aren’t the true thing but more like mini pancakes. Still yummy though!

Great stop when on a road trip. Had Curry Beef pie, fries and salad and the Sirloin steak cooked medium rare with fries, salad and mushroom sauce on the side. Nice covered outdoor deck to relax and enjoy the meal. Both meals came to $51 so good price for 2 meals.

Sure! Here’s a balanced review that highlights both the positives and negatives of your experience:

I recently visited The Outpost Cafe and was impressed by the friendly and welcoming staff. The menu looked fantastic, offering a great variety of options at reasonable prices.

I decided to try the sausage roll, which had a decent flavor, but unfortunately, it seemed a bit undercooked. The texture and appearance made me question if it was fully baked, and a few hours later, I ended up feeling unwell.

While I appreciate the overall atmosphere and service, food safety is crucial. I hope this was just a one-off issue, as I’d love to return and give the place another chance.

So I didn’t need another addiction in my life. I tried their store made sausage roll this morning and was absolutely blown away. The quality, the flavour, the everything about this almost made me tear up.
I’ve tasted many a sausage roll in my life and in my travels, but this has hit the bar up really high. It was somehow juicy on the inside (I would say due to quality ingredients with a perfect blend of meat and natural fats), perfectly balanced with flavour so you could taste the meat and was not over salted like a lot of places do to mask flavour.

I didn’t feel like crap or get indigestion after having this (again, due to not over salting) and it was a perfect combination of freshly oven baked pastry and sausage mix.

Overall this is a complete 10/10. You guys have nailed what a sausage roll should be and please don’t change. The price is on point for what you get.

Anyone reading this, do yourself a favour and get one of these bad boys if you are going through Canungra. Or even make a special trip just to experience this perfection ?.

Keep being awesome Outpost Cafe.

I don't know about the pies and things because i didn't buy anything else, but I can sure tell you that they make smashing sausage rolls. The sausage rolls gods have given their blessing to this place. Enjoy!

We were visiting town and arrived late lunch time to find that most cafes had stopped serving lunch, or had very limited options.
The staff here were very friendly and helpful and offered us a full lunch, even though they had just stopped serving lunch.
The food was excellent and we enjoyed eating outside except for the traffic.
It is a good place for a quick bight if you are passing through.
