The room was clean and comfortable had great views and loved the location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will be going back next year. It was so nice to be able to have our small dogs with us!

Clean and comfortable with great views. We were only there one night, but no problems and staff were keen to help - they kindly facilitated an early check in for us.
Motel is walking distance to cafes and restaurants, but it is uphill on the way back. Just to be aware of if you’re planning to walk around. A lovely find at a reasonable price.

Due to travelling last minute with our dog and it being V8 weekend there were no availability anywhere In Townsville. Taking the initiative, Stefan had called me back after advising no vacancies, that there was a last minute cancellation and if I was still looking? We really appreciated the customer service and thoughtfulness given and booked in for 2 nights.

Definitely pet friendly, very clean, smelt great also the floors are tiled and or vinyl. Pool and scenery is beautiful- We would stay there again!

I booked 2 nights recently on my way home to Cairns from Brisbane, I wasn’t expecting much but I liked the name and booked an Island view room for the view obviously. Arrived at 6pm and was blown away by the view. The owners are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and what they advertise and the views are stunning as stated. I stayed an extra night just to see another sunset and sunrise. Highly recommend for the price, I will return.

We had the absolute best night at the Island view Motel, stunning views, absolute privacy, very quiet and peaceful. Perfect walking distance to the Strand and away from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommended and will definitely stay again. thanks so much.

I got a standard room for a night. Lovely and clean! The lady on check in was friendly. Short walk to the pool and to a beautiful view of the ocean. There's a deck next to reception to sit and look out at the sea. Free and easy parking. It was also very quiet.

The bad; dirty vinyl floors, tiny shower, old aging decor, yellowing white goods, poor quality or no internet reception, patchy phone reception and reception closes at 6pm
The good; comfortable bed, nice view of magnetic Island, is a quiet location close to town, and was reasonably priced.
Verdict would I stay again? No, it generally wasn't that nice.

Secured late notice booking and a great discount online. When we arrived they upgraded our room to an ocean view at no charge. Man at reception was friendly. Room was clean and had everything we required for a quick stay.
