Don't let the burnt sign out the front scare you. This quaint old school motel is clean and comfortable. While the bathrooms have been painted with tile paint that's coming off, it's an old-school comfort place to grab a sleep.. has a pool and spa, although I didn't use them, a laundry that is $3 a load.
Rooms have tipster, kettle, microwave, teatowels etc, and a mini bar fridge.
Managers/owners are great and very understanding and helpful.
Rooms are outdated but clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again if I needed basic accommodation, no bells and whistles.
Staying last minute they were extremely helpful in booking me in.
Otto's is just down the road, with a great breakfast spot at the spirited goat.
Good location close to the hospital.

This is not a fancy motel however every fitting is of excellent quality , clean and relatively new.

The beds are beautiful. There is coffee tea and milk. The towels are fluffy. It is extremely clean. Parking is tight but casual. The price was excellent. It served the purpose well. Thank you.

What a beautiful place to stay you could not fault it. Although there was a busy road there was no road noise we both loved our stay and will be back.

Very nice place for the price. Very efficient and has all the primary needs. It was exactly what we were looking for during our passage in Townville, a really good surprise. The room was particularly clean and very modern. The staff was also very nice.||Would 100% recommend.

HORRIBLE STAY. The windows need to be replaced with actual framed closed in windows to keep out the draft during winter and other guests cigarettes smoking. Not these budget glass panel shutters. Shower water just poured out all over the bathroom floor into the bedroom area. Drain must have been blocked. Smoke alarm went off from so much smoke built up in our room around 7am right above our heads triggering multiple alarms in other units. Horrible way to wake up in the morning with tired kids who had already been subjected to second hand smoking all night and froze while sleeping around a window that lets cold draft in. My kids and I woke up with head aches and sore throats because of the smoke it was unreal.

My family and I stayed here twice...

The 2 rooms we stayed in were exactly what we wanted...very clean and well presented...(I work in the housekeeping for LANAI in Mackay)
We would gladly stay at Billabong Lodge Motel in the future...
