Our group of 5 was staying as a result of storm related flight delays. We had a delightful and very helpful receptionist who went well beyond her expected level of service. She was very helpful, allowed us to store our bulky baggage items beyond checkout time. She offered advice on how to find decent meals as an alternative to the unavailable hotel restaurant. A credit to her employer.

Right in the heart of Townsville. Facilities are modern and clean. Reception is open late which was great after my flight delays. Greeted by a local in jeans. Gave a better authentic vibe

After a long trip it made for a pleasant check-in.

The lighting, bedding and bathroom is immaculate.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in.

DO NOT STAY HERE

• The first room they put me in had a noisy air conditioner with black electrical tape all over it
• The phone didn’t work when I called them from the room, so I had to go back down to reception to ask for a different room.
• I immediately asked to change, which luckily they agreed to

• The aircon in this room was also dirty and didn’t have a cover, but at least it worked and wasn’t noisy
• The iron was burnt, so I asked to change it
• The hairdryer attachment didn’t work, I had to go down to reception to swap that
• The bathroom sink didn’t have a plug (see photo)
• The air vent in the bathroom was disgustingly dirty
• There were not any tissues in my room
• There was not cutlery in the room– I had to ask reception for a teaspoon to make a coffee
• The ‘minibar’ contained water and longlife milk
• The room wasn’t serviced – I left at 6am and when I returned at 2.30pm it still wasn’t done.

• Finally, there was a breakfast and room service menu, however there was no breakfast available at all (even though it was paid for in my booking).

Had occasion to stay 2x nights, 13-14-October, 2024. Hotel Staff, Jessie and Caroline were exceptional and this praise was demonstrated with the handling of and assistance with an unresolved issue with a certain Hotel gift card. If again I have the occasion to visit Townsville, the question, 'where to stay' requires no enquiry.

The use of an overpowering deodorizer in the room triggered an asthma attack, making it difficult for me to enjoy my stay. Additionally, the cleanliness left much to be desired; there was a significant amount of dust and buildup on the chairs, which was quite off-putting. I had to check out after just one night due to an unbearable smell in the room. With no windows to open, the air quality was debilitating and made my stay uncomfortable.

The location is great and walkable to many restaurants.

There is free parking for cars/small vehicles.

The rooms had limited lighting and we ended up using our flashlight when we needed to find items in our bags.

Always pleasure to stay there. Always very clean and huge rooms. Makes the fact i have to go to work all that little bit easier. A + from me
