FOH staff were lovely, friendly and proficient.
Restaurant breakfast staff lack enthusiasm and you can sense the depressing energy.
Buffet was excellent, great variety, all looked, fresh and well presented.
The dinner meal was delicious and worth the money paid, special thanks to the young fella with black curly hair (didn’t get his name). Very polite, eager to assist us and made us both smile, thank you.
Room was big, clean, bed comfy and lots of pillows.
Bathroom is way too small, badly designed. Shower head needs to be replaced immediately. The curtains in the main area are inefficient with the sun filling the room with light at sunrise.
Overall it was a pleasant enough 2night stay.
Location is convenient, room overlooked the lake, outdoor seating would have been nice, also the outside wall lights didn’t work.

Our bed was so comfortable, the view was great and the lawn and gardens were neat and tidy. It was refreshing to see so many First Nations staff working in all areas of the hotel and the staff we interacted with were professional. Th hotel was buzzing with families and children in the pools. We will be back!

I had booked a night at the Mercure Townsville as it was close to Townsville Airport and easy to get to by Taxi. On arrival, I was really impressed by the resort, with a large atrium / reception area similar to what you may find at a country club. Check in was easy, the room was clean and comfortable and friendly staff on hand at Dinner and Breakfast with enjoyable quality meals for both. The resort had an inviting pool, large gardens and lots of wildlife. Why didn't I know about this place sooner? Overall, a very pleasant stay.

We did an overnight stay on a quick visit New Years Eve. Room very clean and comfy.
We are at the the restaurant the food was really nice and well priced. Cocktails topped off a great meal.
Only thing we noticed was maintenance on decking and walk-ways in great need. I have tripped o loose pavers luckily hubby caught me. All in all though I'd recommend a stay here.

The service here is consistently outstanding. I want to highlight my visit on Monday, the 23rd, around 5:30–6 PM, when the lady bartender who served me was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I returned with my family on Boxing Day around 2 PM and had the same wonderful experience with a different lady bartender. Both times, the people I was with also commented on how excellent the service was.

Really beautiful place to stay with amazing grounds and pool, felt like I was in Fiji! Only wish I was there for leisure not work so I could have a swim in the beautiful pool & enjoy the place more. Staff were lovely and friendly, and room was exactly what I needed. Just be good to have more vegetarian meal options, but what I did have (homemade pumpkin gnocchi) was good.

Old rooms that seriously need an upgrade, but more importantly, need a good clean. The rooms were very dirty. Nice pool area and location next to the lake was nice. Did not try the restaurant but it didn't look bad. It's fairly cheap but that's for good reason. Wifi was good.
