Great stop over! Playground, camels and emus for the kids. Pool was clean and the kids had a great swim. Powered sites were fine and we ended up pulling up onto some actual grass and just running a lead as most sites were all red dirt. Facilities were fine. Restaurant was absolutely delicious ? Pizzas were great and a good family option! The shop is extremely overpriced as expected so top up beforehand.

A Great Outback Retreat!

The Erldunda Desert Oaks Resort is the perfect stopover for anyone traveling through the Red Centre. Located at the “Centre of the Centre,” it’s an ideal base to relax, refuel, and soak in the beauty of the Australian outback.

The accommodations are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering options to suit all types of travellers.

The resort’s amenities are excellent, especially for its remote location. The pool is a refreshing treat after a day of driving, and the Desert Oaks Bistro serves tasty, hearty meals. The onsite bar is a great place to unwind, with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere.

One of the highlights is the wildlife enclosure featuring emus and kangaroos, Watching the sunrise and sunset from this spot is a magical experience – a must-see.

The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always happy to assist with local tips and advice. Overall, Erldunda Desert Oaks Resort is a wonderful oasis in the heart of the outback, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone exploring this stunning region.

Great spot to stay. Rooms were clean and a decent size for me and my three kids. 2hr drive from Uluru.

Good food. Nice little store to buy gifts or supplies if needed.

Great for the kids to see the emus and get up nice and close as well. Gives them a bit more of an appreciation for our country.

Great location considering the area. Most scenic sites are with in 3hrs drives. Food really well cooked and good size potions. Accommodation basic but cool which was the main thing but house keeping on the poor side. In general definantly recmend.

The staff were EXCELLENT. Helpful and happy. Location was handy for us and central for many other travelers too. The restaurant food was plentiful and tasty. The extra little things like the sunset viewing platform and the animals were a nice little attraction for such a remote location. Clearly a popular stop based on the number of travelers that were there.

Very nice place, good playground for the kids, animals to feed, pool. The staff of the resort and the restaurant are all very friendly and the food is very good. The whole place has a relaxed atmosphere, at least at this time of the year! We could do our laundry, there are two big machines, all clean and practical.

Great spot to stop overnight, showers are great, the campground is very quiet considering it’s next to the road and the emus are awesome to get photos of.
Plus, if you’re lucky enough you may meet some local indigenous artists who come out and sell their artwork outside the shop, their work is incredible.

A life saver if you don't want to drive 500km to/from Uluru. Rooms very basic with creaky floors but clean. Great shower and good food in a tavern that doesn't stink of frying oil! Good coffee and a well stocked supermarket with lots of souvenirs. Very friendly staff. Sunset terrace a bonus!
