After much research for our Northern Rivers wedding photographer/videographer, we happily placed our trust in Wattleseed Collective. Kevin describes his wedding photography style as 'natural', 'candid', 'relaxed' and 'timeless' - which is entirely true. He is an absolute talent and delight to be around.

In the lead up: From the moment we met, Kevin felt like an old friend - he is so genuine, offering helpful thoughts on our timeline when we asked, and answering any of our questions in the lead up. We had a largely DIY wedding and Kevin was so easy to work with - his communication was on point!

On the day: Kevin and his videography team (shout out Teko and Jasmine!) were keen as punch for us! They brought an excitable and happy energy that lasted all day and you could tell they absolutely LOVE doing what they do. The whole day, the photography and videography was cohesive, organised, and well thought out. This was not his first rodeo and Kevin really cared about what we as a couple wanted - which was to spend time with our favourite people and not off posing for photos. The team felt like friends in the background and the experience was made to be fun and light hearted. Our cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing so much and nothing ever felt awkward or 'in your face'.

Photos: There's nothing quite like the feeling of receiving your wedding gallery back and re-living the best day of your lives. Kevin's photos captured every part of our wedding - the small details and the big. Our wedding photos look and feel REAL - and
there is the perfect amount of B&W and colour images. There's TONS of candid photos of our guests which is just perfect! We wanted to look back on who was there and also have some nice couple and group photos which we printed and sent to our guests with a thank you note which was a massive hit! We're so grateful to have so many beautiful photos to look back on. Kevin wrote us the most heart-warming blog (um, hello photojournalist!) describing the day from start to finish. It was wonderful to read and I have printed a copy to put in our wedding album.

Video: Say goodbye guest book, say hello guest highlight reel! Ingenious idea to have our guests record their well wishes (along with some fun advice!) as opposed to their signatures in a book. This is seriously one of the best things we did as a couple and we LOVE LOVE LOVE the guest reel. It feels like a present to ourselves - so so lovely.

I honestly cannot understate how good our wedding video is. Watching it for the first time was such a 'pinch me' moment. Like, how lucky are we. There were lots of tears shed, shared happy smiles and laughs. Some other vendor videos I previewed (whilst great) felt very heavy on the production side of things and like a self-promotion video for social media whereas ours has truly been created with us, the couple, in mind as the audience.

Summary: What drew us to Wattleseed Collective initially was their values and affordable and transparent pricing - I think it's the best in the Northern Rivers area in terms of value. Once we spoke to Kevin, there was no question about it - we had to book him. His experience and friendliness are second to none and we have no hesitation in recommending him to everyone. 100/10.

We described to him what we wanted our wedding photos to convey and BOOM there it was, all the emotion, all the love, all the joy right there oozing out of the images.
He is effortlessly efficient and unobtrusive.

Perfect wedding experience!!
Wattleseed Collective was recommended to us by our wedding venue and it's easy to see why!
From our meet and greet / engagement shoot it was clear that Kevin was cool, calm and relaxed which suited us perfectly. My partner and I weren't particularly comfortable in front of the camera but Kevin was just taking candid photos with little direction and the results were amazing.
In the lead up to our wedding Kevin was very responsive and more than happy to have a catch up when needed.
