New owner Nong and the team served up a delicious breakfast this morning. Coffees were perfect and the food was amazing! I can only eat small meals and asked for sourdough and pulled pork. Beautifully plated with some baby spinach and micro herbs ? ?

Stopped here for breakfast on a Tuesday during school holidays. Service was a bit slow and the coffees came out half way through our meal which seemed to be made faster than the coffees which was weird. Staff were friendly and apologized for the wait though which is always nice. Food was amazing and there's a great view from the back deck.

Our experience at this restaurant was great.

The waitress took our order and came out with the food as expected. They also took no issue when we requested the kids meal eggs to be cooked a little more.

All the food ordered came out pretty fast and tasted as great as they looked. The cooks/chefs are rallying doing a great job here!

The 20% public holiday surcharge is a bit rough and the highest I have seen but it’s totally understandable given the hectic rush of out of towners like us coming into the Forster/Tuncurry area for a visit.

The location is also great with water views across a nice lawn area.

There are also picnic style tables out at the front which I assume to be mainly catering for the dog owners which is a nice to accomodate all the locals walking by with their dogs.

If I could leave no stars for service I would. Me and my partner went to the deck for breakfast this morning after previous good experience. Unfortunately we were not met with the same service from the new owners. When sat down we were told it would be a 30 minute wait. 45 minutes had passed and our drinks were finally brought out, I kindly asked the blond hair waitress how much longer the food would be, to which she responded “we did tell you it would be a 40 minute wait when you came in” in a rude tone. My response, we have been waiting 45 minutes. When the food was finally brought out another 5 minutes later, I received the comment “it’s been exactly 40 minutes since the order hit the kitchen” again in a rude tone. When asked what her problem was and requesting to speak to the owner she told us she was the owner and there was no one else to speak to. Tops to the chef though the food was decent. The couple beside us had been waiting 40 minutes for two coffees which had been given to another table, when questioned they also received rude comments and attitude from the waitresses. When i went to the counter to pay, I watched the blond haired girl make a comment and laugh to another waitress telling her to serve me. She also had a terrible attitude, I wish I could have walked out and not paid. Additionally the waitresses all had very inappropriate short skirts barely covering the bums as workwear, definitely not appropriate for a family restaurant. Giving night club vibes. Do not recommend this palace one but you should seek your business.
PS have a nice day

Another gem in Tuncurry. Had the Carrot, Corn and Zucchini Fritters. Added bacon to it and the portion size was fantastic.

A cold brew coffee to top it off and I was set for the day. Highly recommend.

Great service, very friendly and check during you meal to make sure everything is OK. Meals were served quickly. Everyone was very happy! We had bacon and eggs, the smoothie bowl, lemon meringue pancakes, coffees, juice and juice of the day. Everything was perfect! Will be back again.

I just had the worst eggs Benny I have ever ordered.
Over 45 mins for it to arrive at the table
Eggs overcooked and not sure what happened to the hollandaise sauce which was basically non existent.

I’m not sure how the deck gets such good reviews. Must’ve caught them on a bad day or something. Ordered 2 Thai curries to eat in. Both came out with no rice. When I approached the young blonde female waitress about it she told me in a rude tone to calm down and it doesn’t come with rice. I wasn’t angry or rude at all. I would’ve thought this would be included. How else do you eat Thai ? I get that you need to order takeaway separately but not eat in. Waited 15 mins for rice to come out. Chicken was very dry. And a bit cold due to waiting for the rice to come out afterwards. The flavor was ordinary too and we only ate half the meal. The owner did ask how my meal was and I told her diplomatically that it wasn’t great and she was very disappointed but very nice about it.
Unfortunately, I can never go back again due to the attitude I got from the waitress when I believe I had a fair point. So rude.
