Away from all the food outlets, however, if you prefer a quieter stay, it's only a short drive away.
Only negative feedback was the double bed in the waterfront cabin, which felt too soft and collapsed.
Camp kitchen was next level, never seen anything like it, it had everything from ovens & stoves to BBQ grills , including an encolsed seating area for large families or groups.
The park was very clean and well maintained with friendly service and staff. Beautiful views over the lake on sunset

Having avoided caravan parks in the past, and only camping off-grid, we were hesitant to book a couple of sites at Lakeside Forster for the whole family so we could attend a family celebration in the region, travelling from Brisbane. We hate the crowds and we have a 52kg maremma sheepdog with us. However, from start to end, our experience at Forster Lakeside was delightful. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the amenities were clean and well-situated. The waterfront views could not be beaten, and the sites were very generous in size. We were on sites 20 and 21. The caravan park is only a very short drive to the local shopping centre but far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle. Lakeside Forster Holiday Park is such a lovely, quaint and quiet park on weekdays, and is even quite pleasant with the extra guests on the weekend. All of the residents and guests were friendly and keen for a chat. Just beautiful vibes all round. This caravan park is now our go-to and solution for visiting family, in one of the most beautiful places in Australia, if not the world. Thank you so much, Lakeside Forster, for a wonderful experience! We'll be back!

Nice big sites. Staff friendly enough. Amenities abysmal. We chose a site close to an amenities block only to find out there were no showers only toilets. Have never stayed in a caravan park where the amenities block had no showers. We had to walk a fair way and their were only 3 showers each for male and female. When busy as it was on the weekend we stayed you have to wait for ages for a shower, totally inadequate. The last 2 nights of our stay we couldn't get anywhere near the camp kitchen, it had been completely overtaken by groups with no consideration for anyone not in their group. It was also the first caravan park we stayed in that had no television reception. Our site turned into a swamp after heavy rain.

Well designed park. On the lakeside. Generous camp sites.|Great amenities. Would recommend planning your stay ahead as it is very busy during summer school holidays. We stayed on a van site with ensuite. Nice level site with concrete pads for van and annex

Took our caravan for a weekend. Had an issue with being able to make it in our original date and they let us move to the next day. Facilities were fine, not as clean as some, but good. Bbq facilities were really good.

Sunset Villa was 15m away from the water with lovely views. Spacious two bed cabin with outdoor setting(6) and indoor large table(4), big comfortable lounge and beds were very nice. Cooktop(gas)and microwave plus a dishwasher. Decent size tv with good Wi Fi. The park is very neat and well laid out. Situated a few k's south of the Forster centre. The biggest shopping centre is very close though. Lovely area reasonably busy with plenty of eateries. Plenty of beachs/waterways. Would definitely recommend the park and the area.

Fantastic location in a quiet part of Forster. Not too far from main CBD but far enough out to enjoy the peace . Staff were exceptional, very friendly and always cheerful especially a lovely lady with dark hair who greeted us on arrival and check-out.
Cabins along the lake front were exceptional and great for the little travellers to run around whilst relaxing on the verandah and enjoying the calm of the afternoon. Highly recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you!

Fantastic place to stay! We came up from Canberra for our son to play in a tennis tournament.
There was so much rain & we had issues with our motor home & the mud, but the wonderful lady in the office & the maintenance man helped us out so much! Lovely people & a beautiful place to stay. We'll be back.
