Booked the spa dreaming package at $315 and it was more like a remedial massage. It’s the worst massage I have ever had.
If you read the description it says “releases stress and incorporates slow moves..” There were no slow moves whatsoever, and it wasn’t relaxing at all! So disappointed. The facial scrub, I’m sure she took off a layer of skin she did it that hard and fast.
110 minutes….. it went for 90 minutes! An absolute rip off and a waste of time and money ? I want my money back so I can find somewhere that provide the service they describe!

I took my husband recently for his birthday and wa sso disappointed with the experience for the price!

I understand they had to move locations due to the flooding but what they have is jot luxury at all. First of all they told me there were spa facilities we could use prior to our treatments. They brought me to the hydrotherapy pool which was soooo old and dated, and the jets didn't work. Also there was no change area and we had to walk through a corporate function area ro get there which was awkward as hell. Then after they told me there was an actual spa but for hotel guests, could have told me earlier.

Then we went for the massages, and it was I'm a scrappy motel room, not even done up in the slightest. Just portable massage beds in this old room with old carpet. The massages were fine, but nothing to write home about. Then after the massage we got only a plastic cup of water, and the relaxation room again was a random room with a couch, no tea no music.

Understand they have to make do, but there are things you can do it dress it up a bit, and make it feel more luxury , especially for the price tag. Would not book here again, so disappointing for a birthday experience.

Although the original place is under renovation, the temp arrangement wasn’t bad at all. The lady who gave me a hot stone massage was very kind & knowledgeable. She attended to all my aches & pains. I really felt relaxed & rejuvenated.

Not worth the price.
I went today with 4 other women from my family, we all had the spa dreaming ritual which consists of a facial and massage and comes in at $315. Unfortunately we all had really different experiences- some better then others. Some experienced additional scalp or body massages while a mask was on the face but others didn’t. Overall I just don’t think it was worth the price. There was no waiting area to lounge in (just a reception room focused on payment and selling products). We were all handed a single plastic cup of water on exiting the treatment. I would have expected herbal tea and a nice waiting room at a minimum, maybe the facilities being run out of the hotel mean things can’t be as good as usual, but if that is the case the price needs to be changed to reflect that. There was no ritual about it unfortunately

I had received a gift voucher from my work as a present as I was going on maternity leave and decided to use it as my first ‘spoil yourself’ moment after having my baby - which I had advised the therapist.
During my appointment I would hear a buzz and then she would stop massaging with both hands, go to one hand which was honestly the very lightest massage (if I can call it that as she would regularly stop all hands) and I can only assume she was on her phone. This went on for most of the massage. I was incredibly annoyed as it was not relaxing and I knew the therapist was distracted.
I was extremely disappointed that I left my newborn for a half hearted attempt at relaxation. I expected at least a proper massage with both hands but also a decent massage as the therapist knew that I was a new mum.
I was tossing up whether to leave a review (as I don’t like to be negative) however it simply was not fair that this was the service I got. Very disappointed as Villa Thalgo is meant to be quite deluxe but I won’t be booking here again.

heated pool, sauna, hydro jet spa, 16 treatment rooms, highly experienced and friendly therapists.
I have been to nearly every high end day spa I can imagine and this one rates in my top 3! a MUST to experience!
easy parking, food and beverages available.
