Sydney Lyric Theatre is a great venue for performances. It is conveniently located within a short walk away from Darling Harbour, Cockle Bay, China Town and more. There are award winning shows performed here including Hamilton.

There is a huge bar and food area in the foyer along with a smaller one opposite it, with both offering wine, beers, cocktails and snacks

Seating is comfortable with plenty of leg room and each seat has a good view to the stage.

The Sydney Lyric Theatre offers an impressive venue for enjoying live performances, and I'd rate it an 8 out of 10. Located in the vibrant Darling Harbour area, it's easy to find and surrounded by plenty of dining options for pre- or post-show meals. The theater itself is beautiful, with a grand and elegant design that adds to the excitement of the event.

Inside, the seating is comfortable, and the layout generally provides good sightlines. However, depending on the show and your seat location, there may be occasional obstructions, so it's worth checking the seating plan when booking. The acoustics are solid, providing clear sound that enhances the overall experience, but for some larger productions, it could be slightly sharper.

The staff are friendly, and entry and exit are well-organized, which helps with the flow of guests in and out of the venue. My only minor criticisms would be that the intermission areas can get quite crowded, and the snack options are fairly standard and pricey.

Overall, the Sydney Lyric Theatre is an excellent spot to enjoy live shows, with a few small areas for improvement that could elevate the experience even further.

Located at 55 Pirrama Road, Pyrmont, New South Wales, Australia . A great theatre situated at Star Casino in Pyrmont. Easy to get to by light rail or car. There’s lots of restaurants to pick from in the casino. We went to see &Juliet and it was wonderful. We went to the Matinee performance which is really convenient for transportation sake, especially if you’re going by public transportation. There’s very good access by public transportation with the light rail station situated right under the casino. I have also seen Wicked and Mary Poppins here and they were fantastic also. Obviously a theatre well equipped to put on a fantastic performance. There’s good toilet facilities but to get to the stalls, there’s a lot of stairs to climb. I am not sure if there’s a lift, I didn’t see one. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. You are able to get merchandise for whatever show you are seeing but it’s quite expensive. There’s also beverages and food available. A great place to see a show. I will say that even though price can be a huge factor when purchasing tickets to a show, if you can manage to get tickets closer to the stage, it’s definitely worth it. You get a much better experience. We had tickets in the stalls in the last row, therefore, we couldn’t really see the facial expressions on faces of actors and all of the screens above the stage. We still had a great time. When I went to see Wicked, I paid extra for a seat about 5 rows back from the stage and it was definitely worth it.

We went to see "&Juliet" twice at the lyric theatre! It was the best musical and both times, our seats were great to see the show! The drinks were a little exxy and it was a bottleneck to get out from the grand circle upstairs which seemed a bit dangerous. But other than this, the lyric theatre is a wonderful stage and theatre space for any production.

I went here for the Hamilton show. Awesome place, really organised, clean and overall great ambience! I had no issues at all when enjoying the show, I was fully immersed thanks to the supporting environment! The toilet’s clean, the service was helpful and friendly, what more can I say?! I love it!!

Easy to find on Transport NSW app. Clean theatre and toilets. Comfy seats in the theatre(front row Grand Circle) Reasonable prices at the bar. Extremely friendly staff at the bar and at the doors to the theatre. Beautiful gardens to watch the bay as you wait for your show

What an amazing experience. I got to see Hamilton in theatres. The seating was fantastic, the merch station was well-stocked, the staff were extremely helpful, and we got photos taken by the staff as well.

It was almost worth the trip to Sydney from Melbourne all on its own.

Service at the bar was efficient and quick, both before the show and during intermission. Prices are a little expensive for what is on offer, but that is to be expected after all.

The theatre hosts shows frequently and tickets are easy to purchase and manage online.
The seats we had were reasonably priced for a Sydney show and had a good view.

The downside was that the staff kept directing us to the wrong entrance for our seats. 4 separate staff members directed us to different locations even after reading the tickets and when we tried to go the directions the ticket said, one staff member said we were going the wrong way and sent us in the opposite direction AGAIN. It was a little frustrating.
