Sydney Boulevard Hotel is in a great location—just outside the CBD, so it’s quieter but still central, with bus stops right opposite. I highly recommend the Harbour View room as the view is fantastic.
The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out easy. We were lucky enough there was a room available for early check in. As an added bonus, the room had a bath tub with a jacuzzi and free bath salts, perfect for relaxing after long walks.
The hotel is overdue for some renovations, but overall it was worth the higher price. I’d definitely stay here again.

I have now stayed twice at The Sydney Boulevard Hotel and both times have had an excellent experience. The rooms are very well appointed and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is excellent. We opted to include the breakfast daily and were not disappointed. There is something there for any dietary need. I am vegan and have dietary restrictions due to health and found options there that were both filling and delicious. My one tip: on our first visit we were on a lower floor and had excellent wi-fi but on our second trip we were on one of the very upper floors and wi-fi was a little slow.

While no longer a tier 1, 5 star hotel the location and views from harbour side rooms are spectacular. The rooms are spacious and clean with reasonable furnishings although a better quality shower head would of been appreciated. Some of the common areas are a little tired, but given the price point it is understandable. Every staff member we encountered was welcoming and helpful. The lack of bar restaurant facilities on site is not really an issue with plenty of options within walking distance. Reasonable breakfast offering although a little pricey. If I was planning to stay in Sydney again I would certainly book at the Boulevard again for the value and the view.

Calling this place a 4 star hotel is criminal. They do not do daily housekeeping and if you try to call the day before they’ll tell you to call again in the morning. We requested extra towels and were told we had to come down to the lobby and get them ourselves. We requested to have our king bed separated into twin beds at time of check in at 2PM (they granted early check in). We came back to our room at 8PM and it was still not separated. This all with a room big enough to accommodate 2 queen beds but they cheaper out for twins. It seems to have had some updates to furniture and bathroom fixtures but the base boards and doors are torn up. The sauna doesn’t work and is quite dated as are the gym bathroom facilities. No robes or slippers in the room. Has fridge, no microwave. Has a hot water kettle and instant coffee but not a real coffee machine.
It is a decent location in that it is walkable to a lot of things but not next to anything of interest. There is a stop for the hop on/hop off big bus tour right outside.
If you’re looking for a nice stay with good service and amenities for your holiday, do not book here. If you just want a comfortable enough place to rest your head and navigate the city this is a reasonably priced place to o so but do not expect 4 star quality.

The Sydney Boulevard Hotel is a real find. It is close enough to the City and the lovely suburb of Surrey Hills and with transport options within walking distance you can get anywhere you need to. Public transport is cheap and Ubers were too.||We stayed in a King room on Level 3 and it was very clean, bed was really comfortable and our view was good looking towards the Harbour Bridge.||We had the free breakfast included and this was great with lovely friendly staff to greet us each morning and knowing who we were very quickly. ||The cost of the hotel is good (we stayed over a concert weekend so prices were higher but expected) but the Monday night rate was really reasonable.||Only negative would be that the hotel is a little dated and could do with a paint on each floor in the hallways but this didn't affect our stay.||Highly recommend.

Perfect location but with a few missing amenities. Bathrooms are pretty standard. Missing toiletries like toothbrush and paste. The rooms were already on Max but still warm. We usually get complimentary water but this place has none specially on a warm spring to summer aussie day. Good place if your more outside than in the hotel. You wont need a blanket as it is warm. The TV is basic and not intelligent.
You need to pair with your phone which is a struggle in itself.

Room size is very generous and I had a great view of the Bridge. There is no room service which would have been fine, if they'd subsidise this by supplying cutlery and crockery. Unfortunately they only had utilities for a coffee/tea and water. There is a Woolworths right next door which is very handy.
The breakfast is as you'd expect with full buffet options. This is an old hotel that has had a basic refurb. Close to Kings Cross and the city. It's a good hotel if you just need a convenient place to stay overnight.

From my welcome and check-in, the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great central location within walking distance of the harbor, train stations, and the botanical gardens. The room was very clean, quiet and large. My schedule only allowed me to partake in the breakfast buffet on one day but it was very good.
