Very poor value for the price. Room was tired and dated.Nothing in the room to welcome guests. A few lousy tea bags. Not even a cheap biscuit on offer to go with it. Good old mom and pop motels offer much more than that. No shower caps. Thin worn out towels. We have stayed in much cheaper hotels in the area which offered much more. Never go back. Also we thought we were booking with the hotel itself in Australian dollars but the site was hijacked by Bookings.com USA. We got a shock when our credit card was debited in US dollars. Beware.

I love staying at this hotel. I’m here at least once a month, sometimes more, and the Holiday Inn Potts Point is a favourite. I like the rooms especially if you get a harbour or city view. It’s close enough to the CBD where my Sydney office is, yet it’s not in the CBD. I love the location, right in Potts Point and above the Kings Cross train station so it’s one stop for me into Martin Place. I love that it’s in Potts Point which has a real village vibe with great cafes, restaurants, bars and boutiques. I like the ease of car parking, easy in and easy out and I love the ground floor restaurant and bar Sirocco for ease of a drink and a meal and buffet breakfast. And I particularly like the friendly and courteous staff especially Front Office Manager, Steven Chapple, who always makes me feel welcome. A highly recommended hotel.

I have been staying at this hotel for the past 16 years on a very regular basis. The hotel is in a very convenient place as it sits on the Kings Cross station and therefore it is very close to and easily accessible to everything Sydney has to offer. I am always made to feel very welcome by all staff and as a Diamond elite member I am always upgraded to a lovely room. The manager Bruce Edwards is very friendly, always says hello. One of the managers, Steven, is often there to greet me and is also very friendly and helpful. Justin, one of the other managers always makes sure I am well looked after. There are too many staff members to mention, but this morning I did have the pleasure of dealing with Farhaan, who upgraded me to a beautiful suite. The breakfast buffet is very substantial and the restaurant, Sirocco also serves great food for lunch and dinner. The rooms are very spacious and quiet, with beautiful views of Sydney Harbour on the Harbour side. Highly recommended!

States here during our visit to Sydney. It's a old hotel situated at king cross. Rooms are big neat & tidy. At the same time its not high-tech. Generally holiday inn hotels look modern but this one is not up to my expectation. Breakfast is also good with lot of varieties in the menu.

Really spacious room despite being their basic Standard Room and plus that our room had a view of the Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. Location is super convenient right beside the King’s Cross station. Breakfast was adequate. Everything was lively except that the safe had no batteries, one of the side table light was not working and then the carpet had stains. My allergy wasnt triggered so I think the room is clean, just perhaps a little bit of attention to detail to make it a bit better. Also I LOVE THE FACT THEIR TV HAD A NETFLIX. I had to log in with my own account but it was AMAZING that they had this feature. I would definitely come back here! Room service was fast too! Smooth check-in and check-out.

We so enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect. Breakfast was very good. Justin upgraded our room for us. He had great recommendations on restaurants. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I love we could walk everywhere from the hotel. This is a great location for walking and close to public transportation.

Welcomed reception to the hotel involved the police putting a person into the paddy wagon.
Hotel foyer smelt like a guy after a night of clubbing.
There was only one customer service agent on reception desk at 1100, took 15 mins to be served and then I was told to wait as there were two bookings in my name and they had to sort it out.

Room was on the lower level in the old part of the hotel.
Smell only got worse and then the room… dank and musty, carpets have not been cleaned in years - well that what the smell and look represented.

No coffee and nil toiletries aside from a vanity bag. Yes you can call down but you have to go and collect them yourself. A shower cap rant a big call to be added to the room.

Paint was peeling off the walls, the sink facet was loose and drains all scratched up.

This building has not been maintained in years.

Will do my best to avoid any further visits here.

The location is great if you need a Trainline but you will get accosted by people under the influence that park themselves on the hotel benches outside.

Good location! Right next to the Kings Cross Station for the metro. Numerous restaurants and a grocery store are also close. Bed and pillows were very comfortable! There is a small refrigerator and a hot water pot is provided with coffee and tea. Staff were always friendly and helpful.
