I booked a room and had an emergency that stopped me from traveling. The staff were very helpful and we were able to reach a mutual understanding to solve the issue. Very pleased.

Rooms were infested with cockroaches. Staff were good
and moved us rooms promptly when we informed them of us finding 10+ cockroaches in our room - in the bathroom, carpet and in the mugs. When we got moved we got upgraded into a larger room but we were paranoid and checked all of the room and unfortunately found cockroaches again! We stayed one night due to having no other options and checked out the next morning we were due to stay 5 nights and only stayed 1. Health hazard and not good enough from a hotel! No idea how they have such good ratings!

Upon waiting for my refund that on the 3rd of May was told I would receive it within 7 business days I have yet to see my money back it has been 11 business days and when re-contacting the hotel they have told me a further 7-12 business days for my refund... Customer service is just as poor as the hotel.

My experience with the cleanliness of the The Bayswater Sydney. The showers were coated with oil residue ,making them slippery and unpleasant to use . The washroom had a foul odor , indicating a lack of proper cleaning and maintenance . I feel that the state of hygiene in the room was unacceptable and left a negative impression on my stay.

The room was very small and has tripping hazards. I stubbed my toes a couple times and my daughter almost fell coming out of the room. The bathroom was very tiny. On the last day the elevator was out of service. I had to carry my luggage down the flight of stairs. The location is very good. At the corner there’s a mall you can get breakfast and groceries.

The reception at The Bayswater Sydney Potts Point was awesome. On my allocated room, I noticed that the shower had mold and body fat build up that required a really good clean. Though the beddings looked clean an in order, there was a dusty smell all over the bed which prompted me to check under the bed where my doubts got confirmed. It seams the cleaned had not checked underbed for a long time. I would wish to recommend an improvement of the cleanliness' of the rooms.

We last minute booked this hotel. It had a good rating and good location.
On arrival they told us we got an upgrade so we were very excited, but soon after, soooo disappointed. The room was extremely small. Opening the sheets of our bed, there was a black hair. The room didn’t feel fresh at all. Drip stains on the walls. The closet was very dirty. We only had 3 tiny windows at about 170cm height so couldn’t even look through it. The bathroom was about 60cm x 140cm which is also extremely small. It should be illegal to rent out rooms like these. At night we literally hear animals eat out of the garbage in the street behind us. Thank god we had airconditioning.
Staff is friendly; they say hi when you pass them.
Location is great!!
I do NOT recommend this place. Ignore the good ratings people give! Must be payed reviews or something. This is a very very disappointing hotel.

Clean tidy rooms with comfortable and clean bed and bathroom. I slept well in their cozy bed. Little fridge and desk in room was also very useful. Love the complimentary chocolate, very yummy! Good view to the street too.

Wonderful hotel near the King’s Cross station. I stayed there twice during my somewhat long trip to Australia and I was happy to deal with their staff, notably Ana, who was extremely helpful with my second booking when I came back to Sydney. The rooms are clean and big enough for one person and have really good amenities. Beds are wide and comfortable. The hotel was also really quiet. You have several restaurants nearby, as well as a Metro grocery store. You can walk from there all the way down to the Australian Museum, and eventually take a short metro ride to Sydney’s most important location. No hotel can beat this one. It truly has it all and I’ll stay there again on my next trip to Sydney !
