We had a great family weekend here. 4 adults and 3 kids piled into Pine Cottage #3. It was comfortable, the kitchen was adequate and the gas fire was excellent. The surrounding gardens and amenities were perfect for the kids, with a tennis court, games room, fire pit for toasting marshmallows and a heated pool. The bushwalks are of course fantastic in the nearby National Park and the place is far enough out of town to be quiet and peaceful but close enough to get dinner, coffees or supplies.

What a warm, welcoming, peaceful retreat. Fantastic location close to everything by car. Gorgeous trails next door. Immaculate cottages and grounds. Great indoor pool. And a very super fun fire pit! Roasting marshmallows was a wonderful hit with our kids - and it was a lovely touch that a bag of delicious marshmallows were provided in the room as a welcome gift. Jess (manager) is a gorgeous, genuine delight and couldn't have made us feel more welcome. (thanks for the recommendation for the delicious Thai take away too!)

Great place to stay, very clean and tidy and has everything you need to have a great weekend away. My wife and I have stayed in the possum cabins multiple times over the last 22 years and we are counting down for our next stay there.
I would highly recommend a stay there as it’s close to bush walks and the Rhododendron gardens which is looking fantastic now in October
Staff are friendly and it was so easy checking in and out with no fuss

Perfect couples retreat, peaceful and acomodation provides everything you need for a weekend away. The cabin has a cosy feel and we love the wood fireplace which kept us toasty during our stay when temperatures dropped. This was the second time we have stayed at Possum Hideaway and we just love it. Highly recommended. The staff are super friendly and also provided a list of recommendations of local sites to visit, markets, food and activities which was super helpful. Thanks

Truly beautiful spot, lovely grounds, clean and warm villas and everyone loved the pool and tennis courts. Plus so many thoughtful little surprises (such as marshmallows for the communal fire and treasure maps for onsite explorations). Great for all ages - our 7 year old and teenagers loved it equally.

Lovely stay! Family had a great time. Plentiful activities for the kids- volleyball, giant chess, games room, heated pool- kids tried them all and enjoyed everything. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Surprisingly quiet given the shared wall with other cabins. Location is great too- very close to Katoomba and tourist sites.

We recently had a wonderful, comfortable, fun and relaxing stay at Possums. The pool, games room, tennis court, basketball hoop, tennis court and fire pit are amazing for kids. We stayed 3 nights at Possums Hideaway mid week, and got a great Autumn deal on their website. We found Federation Gardens when we were in our 20s by chance, and this was about our 6th stay. Our daughter is now 18, and we went back and did a couples stay which was awesome. Jess and staff are extremely welcoming, friendly and nothing was too much trouble.|The room was cosy and very clean with lots of nice little touches including beautiful candles and a log fire, spa, and even an apple for the possums ! We have stayed in all of their accommodation and they are all great but my favourite is now the Possums Hideaways. Beautiful outlook. Definitely will be back !!|#Federation Gardens
