Great location in a nice area. Apartment neat and tidy and Massive!!
King bed was super comfy.

Never Again!!! No management and office in the property, rude person running the place!!

Drove 4 hrs to Tamworth for my son’s basketball tourney only to find out we don’t have a place to stay, coz this property overbooked!!! Booked and fully paid for accommodation one month ahead! Trying to checked in and there’s no reception office and no management in the property to deal with your check in. Called the property phone number but nobody answered, left several messages and after one hour of waiting in the property to check in some rude guy rang and said that “ I don’t have a room to give you, we’ve been fully booked over the weekend, no point of staying and talking to me if I were you I will go and look for a place to stay and drive ahead, coz Tamworth is full.” I was left dumbfounded! Never got a refund because he never answered calls again and will always lead you to a voicemail straight away. Paid $324 by the way for a unit for an overnight stay and never got my money back.
We were left to crashed in our friends accommodation because Tamworth was really busy and all fully booked

We booked 6 months in advance as we were visiting agquip. Got a call on the day we were travelling to Tamworth to advise our booking was no longer valid. We were offered a houso style home in south Tamworth, we were hung up on and told to f$&ko;f in those exact words when we told them that we want the room we booked in town. I guess they sold the room at a higher price. What a grubby operator. We then had to accept the home and give credit card and driver’s license details as there was no where else to stay. The home below is the accommodation we ended up with.

I want to concur with GMa’s review in July 2019, as this also happened to me at these apartments in October 2018-the common practice of this hotel is to re-sell your confirmed room at a higher rate and cancel your reservation, stating that there is a problem with your credit card, when there really isn’t. |I had booked and confirmed 2 rooms, paid as I knew a concert supporting the Aussie farmers was going to be announced. |The next day when the concert was announced, I received a text from booking.com that there was an issue with my payment and my reservation was cancelled, by the hotel. I checked with my bank and there indeed was no issue with my card- the payment had been rejected by the hotel.|I tried to pay again, but the price has doubled- obviously the hotel had heard about the concert in the mean time and adjusted their prices accordingly, which is fine, but do not cancel existing bookings to do so- price gouging at its finest!!!|When I contacted the proprietor, he again tried to blame my credit card, which was functioning perfectly- and he refused to honour my original bookings. |My friends and I were paying to fly to Tamworth from Sydney, pay for accommodation in Tamworth and buy tickets to the concert (no small investment), all to support the farmers and Tamworth’s local economy and this is how we are treated...|I would avoid this dishonourable establishment like the plague!!!

No one will check you in the property! No office or management whatsoever! Called the property but no will answer and will go straight to voicemail who will never return you call and after several attempts because we are already paid our accommodation we can’t just leave a rude guy who doesn’t have an inch on how to do customer service finally rang back and said the property overbooked and can’t do anything about it. To add to the stress he never gave me a refund to my payment of 324$ for one night stay

Appalling communication. Emailed a number of times prior to booking and left 2 voice messages with questions around my booking only to receive a call the morning of the booking from David with him questioning me, all could have been sorted if he had’ve retuned my calls initially. This only added to the stress of an already stressful day. Not good enough. Due to David not returning my emails I went through booking.com to book instead of direct with owner. If I did not need a space for 7 people/7 beds I would not have booked with amberoo apartments as it was incredibly stressful not having the communication I needed to ensure the booking was correct and all good to book for what I needed the space for.
Light covers had bugs and whatever else caught inside and a stain on pillowcase - when paying good money I expect cleanliness. The pool needs a clean as well as a lot of plant matter in the bottom
Cindy on the other hand was a delight the day of our booking and nothing was an issue. She phoned me with information where to find my key and apartment, she was such a delight to deal with and helped us out with a few things as well when I had to call her with room and key question. She was the complete opposite to David. Cindy is pleasant and an asset to the business.

This place is a total scam. No reception, no one here at all, looked in windows and there is no beds and debris everywhere. No one answers when you call either.

We asked to book into the apartments which we were told were booked. We were told about a house off site that was similar. The property was old, very old. Not up to standard at all for the $220 we spent per night. No cancellation policy. I will say the place was reasonably clean and warm but very disappointing. Our experience was also effected by friends who had booked at amberoo and had their booking cancelled (without advice) and then Amberoo tried to extort them for an extra $400. Avoid avoid avoid. For the avoidance of doubt my friends had booked through wotif and had it confirmed in writing - with them!
