This venue is a bar with a respectable bistro that offers a stunning vista of Lake Macquarie.

The menu is of a reasonable size, and the drinks are reasonably priced.

On a warm day, the outdoor verandah is an ideal location for dining.

If the weather is cold or windy, it is advisable to choose the indoor dining options.

Our meal started out well with a delicious burrata (tiny bowl with toast meant the 2 pieces of bread fell onto the table though). We saw previous reviews that commented the specials were usually good. Not so! The lamb was really dry and tasteless (it looked nicely cooked which was odd). Fish special also way overcooked and dry. What a let down.

Update: I don't understand Pippi's response. Why ask for my email to sort it out? Sort what out? We had a bad experience and won't return.

Place was lovely. Staff were nice when we picked up keys but didn't interact long enough to get a proper idea on the quality of service as it was just an over night stay.. great place but thin walls if you're loud like me ?

I recently dined at this restaurant and had a mixed experience.

The customer service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff ensuring we were well taken care of throughout our visit.

However, the quality of the food left something to be desired. The knives and plates had leftover residue on top, indicating it wasn't cleaned properly, which was quite off-putting.

The cold dish king fish was particularly disappointing—it looked good and was plated at the right temperature, but unfortunately, it wasn't fresh enough, taste bitter.

The barramundi was okay, but side salad just disappointed.

Overall, while the service was top-notch, the kitchen needs to step up its game in terms of cleanliness and freshness.

Unfortunately not recommended.
The smell of the restaurant is unpleasant, very stinky. Honestly, we had to leave and go to the nearest hotel to eat

Fantastic location, amazing well mannered staff always happy to help. Going above and beyond. Rooms are clean and affordable. Could not fault my stay and the food is excellent. Highly recommend

Dinner here was ok, whilst the staff were amazing and courteous, the food was of a medium pub standard. We had a fried chicken burger where the batter was not completely cooked through which kept it a little powdery, although keeping the chicken moist. They have a bar and pool tables, which is definitely worth a visit.

Visited for lunch today. All meals were delicious and presented exceptionally. The Blue eye cod blackboard special was outstanding and well priced for $34.

Service was fantastic.
