110 Hampden Apartments Battery Point Short-Stay Accommodation - Battery Point, Tasmania

We recently stayed at 110 Hampden Apartments and overall had a mixed experience. The location was reasonably convenient, the price was competitive, and the views were absolutely spectacular, which was a definite highlight of the stay.

However, there were quite a few downsides. The room layout felt awkward, the bed was only a double and quite soft, and the apartment really needed a good deep clean — particularly the carpets, which appeared to hold a lot of dirt and had noticeable stains. Some maintenance was also needed, especially in the bathroom where the sink required attention.

While complimentary items like toilet paper and dishwasher tablets were provided initially, they ran out toward the end of our stay, meaning we had to purchase additional supplies ourselves. The strict 10am checkout was another inconvenience, especially since they don't offer luggage storage. Their recommended venue for storage has limited facilities, particularly when cruise ships are in town. Also worth noting: there is no elevator, so you’ll need to be reasonably fit to manage the stairs.

Overall, you do get what you pay for. While I wouldn’t totally discourage staying here, I would more than likely look at alternative options next time.

Bedrooms are too small in the apartment we stayed in. The second bedroom is almost a closet with no storage at all. Only one bathroom with two-way access didn't make it comfortable for both couples. Additional toilet downstairs was a plus. The kitchen area is nice. The main bedroom had a great view of the Tasman bridge at night. The location is great.

5 star what a laugh so dirty got here had a dirty sponge in kitchen that smelt mouldy ripped blinds stains on couch and carpet, mould in shower not to mention the coffee milk frother smelt like off milk the worst place do not book here. Looks great in photos that are probably from years ago but definitely not anymore

AMAZING PLACE TO STAY. We had such an awesome time, the location is incredible. Right in the heart of Battery Point! The views in the morning were lovely over the CBD and the sunshine hitting the outside area in the afternoon was delightful. The air-con doesn't work super well so if you're someone who gets really hot, I would recommend bringing a fan! Would stay again in a heartbeat. We were in Unit 6. 🙂

A perfect place to stay. ||A short walk to Salamanca Market, not too far from food and other essential stores. ||The only negative, is that the parking spaces are a bit tight, so have to be parked early at busy times, especially if other cars park too close to the lines.

Living area carpet too much dusty, kitchen electric stoves not working properly, In maintenance sticker on electric stoves looks like sticker is there for some time. We stayed in appartments 9 very bad experience. Recommend to avoid and don’t go with the online pictures as they are old pictures and real appartment is too dirty and unfunctional.

Avoid. The room was unclean, surfaces were not wiped clean, the coffee machine was dirty, there were hairs on the sheets. |The bathroom had a persistently bad odour.|The walls didn’t look like they’d been cleaned since it was built.|Stained carpets. |The bed had a dip in the middle.|It felt like university accomodation and we’d been scammed. The photos and reviews did not match up with the apartment. ||This place was so bad we cancelled and were luckily able to get a refund for the remaining nights through our hotel booking provider.||This meant that we had to find alternative accomodation which put a damper on the whole holiday. We managed to find accomodation elsewhere at the Hotel of Lena nearby and they were 100x better for the same price.

Be fair this apartment is new and modern, although access with large luggages can be difficult and living room is small (two-bedroom apartment), but I'm OK with it. I gave it one star mainly for two reasons: (1) They charged me security deposit after my check-out, which should have happened before check-in, and failed to reverse the credit within 3 business days until I asked them after a week. (Even there is an issue they should contact me straightway hey? What if I don't check my bank account regularly?) (2) I performed all usual clean up, washed glasses and cutlery and wiped the kitchen bench just like what I did in other self-service apartment. But they charged me $95 for not disposing rubbish bags (containing baby nappies). Even this is a mistake but $95? It is a complete rip-off. I travelled to many different places in the world with my little one, not a single time I have this issue. I will not recommend this apartment for anyone.
